Facility Support and summer building closures in Aalborg

Summer is approaching, and this means changes in operations at Facility Support at Aalborg University. Here is what you need to know about opening hours, mail handling, and cafeteria closures during the summer of 2025.

Changed Opening Hours

From July 7, 2025, to August 10, 2025, Facility Support will not have fixed opening hours. This means we will only be present at the office by appointment.

To ensure you receive the necessary assistance, we recommend contacting us in advance. You can reach us during normal working hours at phone number 99403333 or via email at facilitysupport@adm.aau.dk. We are ready to assist with any questions or needs you may have.

AAU Booking

Please note that AAU Booking will be completely closed in weeks 29 and 30. If you need to make reservations or have questions regarding booking, we recommend doing so before or after this period.

Switchboard

The switchboard is closed in weeks 29-31.

Mail and Packages

In July and August, there will be no collection or delivery of mail and packages. To ensure your mail is handled correctly, you can pick up and drop off mail and packages at our Facility Support offices at Frederik Bajers Vej 1 or Rendsburggade 14 by appointment.

Summer Closure of Buildings

All exterior doors to the university buildings will be locked from July 1 to August 3, 2025.

Students and staff with a valid AAU card will still be able to access the buildings. To enter, you must swipe your card at the card reader. Remember, outside normal working hours, you must also enter your PIN code.

Summer Closure in the Cafeterias

It is also important to note that there will be no possibility to order meeting catering when the cafeterias are closed.

Here is an overview of the cafeterias' closure periods:

Cafeterias in Copenhagen and Esbjerg

  • Copenhagen is closed in weeks 27-32 (June 30 – August 8)
  • Esbjerg is closed in weeks 27-34 (June 30 - August 22)

Cafeterias in Aalborg

  • FIB15 is closed in weeks 28-31 (July 15 – August 2), weeks 32-33 open with a limited selection
  • Rendsburggade is closed in weeks 27-34 (June 30 – August 22)
  • Fredrik Bajers Vej 7A is closed in weeks 27-34 (June 30 – August 22)
  • Kroghstræde 3 is closed in weeks 27-34 (June 30 – August 22)
  • Selma Lagerløfs Vej 300 is closed in weeks 27 – 35 (June 30 - August 29)
  • Selma Lagerløfs Vej 249 is closed in weeks 27 – 33 (June 30 - August 15), week 34 open for Grab & Go
  • Thomas Manns vej 25 is closed in weeks 28-30 (July 8 – July 26)
  • Cheval Blanc is closed weeks 29-31 (July 14 – August 1)
